THE RAILWAY SERVICE.
PASSENGERS BY EXPRESSES.
GOODS TRAFFIC EASIER.
The express that arrived from Wellington carried about 300 passengers, practically every seat being occupied. The booking for the train that leaves for Wellington this evening has not been so heavy as for the two previous expresses this week.
There, were about 200 passengers on the train that left for Rotorua yesterday morning. The booking for the speciaLexpress leaving at 9.15 this morning has been somewhat heavier. Lord Jellicoe and party will travel to Rotorua on this train. An express will run from Rotorua to Auckland to-day. The position in regard to the carriage of goods is rapidly becoming normal. The business men's committee, which has been able to put through a much larger quantity of goods this week, will sit today for the last time. After to-day there will be no restrictions on goods traffic, except that there must be a full truck load.
