MONEY FOR HOUSING.
CASH ART UNIONS SUGGESTED. [BT TELECRAPH.-PEESS ASSOCIATION.] WHAKATANE, Wednesday. Replying to a Whakatane resident's scheme for each art unions for raising money to build houses, the Minister for Internal Affairs, the Hon. J. B. Hine, states that the scheme would conflict with the Lotteries Act, but if the Act were altered at any time in such a way as would make the scheme lawful the matter would be ■ considered. The -resident states that be intends to reply suggesting a speciaJ Act. J
