STAFF CORPS VACANCIES.

♦ POSSIBLE APPOINTEES. AUCKLAND V.C. WINNERS. (BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. WednesdayAbout 300 applications have been received for vacancies on the New Zealand Staff Corps from returned soldiers. Of these 47 have been chosen to go into camp for training and testing by the Board of Generals — Robin, Russell, Richardson, and Hart. They are nearly all decorated men, and very few are seniors, preference being given to younger men. Among these are three Victoria Cross —Lieutenants Andrew, Judson, and Frickleton. They have still to prove their fitness, and this selection does not necessarily mean actual appointment. Auckland officers in the selection for staff appointments are Captain Avey, Dove, McFarland, Colbeck. and Johnson. Lieutenants Vincent and Judson.
