AUCKLAND ENTERTAINMENT. THE PROGRAMME APPROVED. Final arrangements for the entertainment of Admiral Viscount Jel'icoe and thb officers and crew of the battle-cruiser New Zealand, which is due here on Monday evening, were considered by the Citizens Committee yesterday afternoon, when 'the programme, details of which have been published, was confirmed. It was announced that the use of the Town Hall on September 24, 25, and 29, and of the Town Hall concert chamber on September 26 and > 30, for the entertainment of the '[ visitors, had been granted by the City Council. • . i The Deputy-Mayor, Mr. A. J. Entrican, ! announced that he had . received a telegram from the Minister for Internal Affairs, the Hon. J. B. Hine, intimating that the white and blue ensigns may be flown at Auckland on ceremonial occasions during the visit of the New Zea'.and. In the ordinary circumstances these flags may 1 not be flown on shore without special permission from the naval authorities. Mr. Entrican also stated that he had received a communication from the Mayor | of Wellington, stating that the cinbrooms, ; established in the Wellington Town Hall, : were a great success, and expressing the hope that similar rooms would be estab- ! lished in Auckland. He added that pro-1 vision had already been made to establish clubrooms for the men in one of the sheds on the Queen's Wharf, close to where th» battle-cruiser would be berthed. They would be managed by the Auckland branch of the Navy League. Admiral Jellicoe has consented to inspect the King's Empire Veterans on Tuesday morning at the Queen's Wharf. j Members of the company are requested to parade at the wharf at 9.30 a.m. j
