USES OF ELECTRICITY.

DOMESTIC SERVICE PROBLEM

A lecture illustrative of many of the domestic uses to ■which electricity may be applied will be given at a meeting of the Auckland Institute on Monday evening by Mr. W. S. Vernon, lecturer on physics at the Auckland University College. The lecture will be illustrated by many experiments and lantern slides, and wherever possible the actual appliances themselves will be shown. The nature of most modern appliances, especially ranges and cookers, not yet, obtainable in Auckland, will be demonstrated by means of lantern slides. The lecturer also will discuss the relationship of electricity to the domestic service problem, and to the coal question.
