MARSHALLING OF CARS
Sir, —May I make a few comments on the Dominion Road oar service. It is quite a common spectacle between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. to see a considerable number of people at Valley Road corner waiting for a car, while two or three cars will, with supreme unconcern, follow in quick succession to the terminus. Now it is evident that if an officer of the Tramways was stationed at Valley Road with power to divert such cars he would be able to relieve congestion before it became acute, by merely stopping such cars as he deemed advisable. from proceeding to the terminus, using them to carry off the accumulating congestion at that point. I trust the City Council will in future adopt such measures for the proper marshalling of the cars along this thoroughfare. Citizen.
