ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT. [BY TEtEGRAIH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON. ThursdayA petition to have her marriage with Henry George Short, miner, of Waihi, dissolved on the ground of adultery was made by Lyd.a Mary Short (Mr. MacDiarmid) in the Supreme Court before Mr. Justice Cooper to-day. Respondent did not appear. Petitioner said she was married at Waihi in 1910, and had lived there for most of her married life. There were three children. In 19*5 her husband went to the front and returned in March, 1918, but did not rejoin he'-. She became suspicious, and decided to watch him. With witnee&es she visited her husband's house, and obtained evidence of his adultery. Corroborative evidence was giver by petitioner's father and a friend, after which the case was adjourned for proof of service of the papers upon respondent.
