PAYMENT FOR SERVICES.
CLAIM AGAINST AN ESTATE. ] A claim for £200 for services rendered was made by Mrs. Catherine Mary Ross (Mr. Lowry) against the administrators of the estate of Mrs. Margaret Goldie (Mr. Burns) in the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., yesterday. Mr. Lowry said that Mr. and Mrs. Goldie had no one to look after them, and at the request of Mrs. Goldie, who was her aunt, the plaintiff moved from Northcote and lived near them. She did all the cooking and washing. After her husband's death Mrs. Goldie led the plaintiff to understand that she would bequeath her property to her. but she died without making a will to that effect. Mr. Burns said he did not propose to call any evidence for the defence. The administrators of the estate, Messrs. 0. Nicholson and G. Gribben, merely wished the facts to be laid before the Coiitt. The magistrate said the administrators had adopted the right course. It was a rreat pity a will had not been made. The claim was a reasonable one. and he would give judgment for plaintiff for the amount claimed, j with costs.
