ELECTRIC LIGHTING SCHEME.
NO LOAN FROM GOVERNMENT. A Press Association message states that the Te Awamutu Power Board Committee vaen seeking provision for a loan for reticulation, was advised that existing legislation does not allow loans by the State Advances Office for electric installations as these are- not included in the schedule of pubic works for State loans. In view of a widespread movement for electric development the board decided to make urgent representations to the Government for the necessary legislative amendment
