If the Bolshevik claims are substantiated General Denikin has suffered a heavy defeat on the whole of his 500 miles front. Trotzky boasts that the Bolsheviks are advancing triumphantly everywhere - RECAPTURE OF KAMISHIN. Cossack force cut off. A. and N.Z. PARIS, Aug. 27. The Bolsheviks claim to have recaptured Pskoff, south-west of Petrograd, and also claim a general advance on the southern front, and the capture of Kamishin, on the Volga. A Bolshevik wireless message states that 1000 prisoners were taken when Kamishin, on the Volga, was recaptured after fierce fighting with the volunteer officers' division. The message states that the Bolsheviks killed 400 and closed the gap after the passage of General Mamuotoff's Cossacks,, whose retreat is declared to be impossible.
