FIRE AT GREY LYNN.
OLD BUILDING DESTROYED. QUANTITY OF FURNITURE. An old factory building, situated in Dryden Street, Grey Lynn, was destroyed by fire about 3.30 p.m. yesterday afternoon. The building belonged to Mr. K. Hutohen and was used by Mr. D. (;. McLeod, cabinetmaker, for storing furniture, etc., a quantity of which belonged to Messrs. Richard Arthur a,id t.-i.j auctioneers. The brigade was called, hut (he tire had a good hold when it arrived, and practically all the contents were destroyed. The insurances were not a?cer» tainabla last evening.
