TRAGEDY IN A FLAT,
ARREST OF A YOUTH.

The police here arrested a youth named William Doyle in connection with the death of Albert Tuck, otherwise known as Spenco, who, on April 14. was found dying in a flat in Elizabeth Street. Tuck's head had been battered. It ie dated that Doyle, who is 17 years of age,'admitted that he struck Tuck with a lead sling during a struggle in which Tuck was the aggressor. DEATH OP EX-BISHOP. (Becd. 5.5 D.rl.) SYDNEY. April 20. Dr. J. F. Stretch, who recently resigned the bishopric of Newcastle, is dead, aged 64. UNREST AMONG MINERS, MELBOURNE, April 19. The president of the Miners' Federation states that unless the miners received the increases agreed upon by tho Melbourne conference, nothing could prevent, confusion in industry throughout Austra lia.
