PRESENTATION AT THAMES.
A presentation of an illuminated ad< dress and a solid silver tea and coffeo service was made to Mr. F. J. Burgess, formerly warden and magistrate a# Thames, by members of the legal profession at Thames this week. Meiisrs., Clendon, Jackson, and Hogben, on behalf of the Bar, expressed appreciation of Mr. Burgess s wide knowledge of gold« mining and his tact and courtesy.
