RIGHTS OF CHILDHOOD.
ACTIVITIES OF NEW LEAGUE, A report presented at the last meeting of tho Administrative Council of the newly-formod Rights of Childhood League, the secretary stated that considerable progress had been made since the league was started three weeks previously. The appalling conditions in connection with the public schools, especially overcrowding, was being brought before tho public, and arrangements were being made to give a public demonstration of the matter by one of the most advanced educationists in New Zealand. It was stated that many prominent educationists were associated with the league. Official circulars, setting out. tho objects of tho league, had been distributed all over the Dominion, and interesting and useful data was coming to hand. Five delegates had been appointed to the forthcoming congress. The following officers were appointed until the congress meets:— President, Mr. W. Murdoch; vice-president, Mr. T. Woodward secretary, Mr. E. Hunter; treasurer, Mr. G. T. Jones; trustees, Messrs. H. Hillier and O. Noakcs.
