UNIVERSITY COLLEGE.
RESIGNATION OF LECTURER. Tho University College Council met yesterday afternoon, Mr. T. W. Leys presiding. A report of the Educational Committeo was receivod, recommending the acceptance of the resigna'.iou of Mr. W. Wilson, lecturer in electrical engineering, and the continuance for this year of th» arrangement made with Mr. 8. Irwin Crooke3 to act as Mr. Wilson's locum tenons. The committee further recommended that applications for tho permanent appointment bo sought by advertisement in July next. The report was adopted. Tho council decided to apply to the Government for a grant of £25,000, to cover the cost of erection of the new scienco building.
