SECRETARIES' INSTITUTE.

DOMINION BRANCH FORMED. A branch of the Australasian Institute if Secretaries has now been established in he Dominion, with its office in Auckland, ind branches in the main centres, the ohect of the institute being to raise the itatus and advanco the interests of the lecretarial profession. The Dominion Council has been elected as follows: — President, Mr. J. M. Stokes; vice-presi-lent. G. W. Hutchison; council, Messrs. IV. F. Stewart, H. GilfiUan, P. 0. D. juckie, and S. Milroy; hon. auditor, Mr. r. E. Whitton; registrar and hon. .reasurer, Mr. J. A. Duncan. It is proposed to hold examinations in December in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.
