GERMAN CRISIS IMPENDING.
GOVERNMENT TOTTERING. SPARTACISM ON INCREASE. STRIKES SPREAD FURTHER. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Rood. 9.30 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, Mar. 3. A crisis is impending in Germany owing to the powerlessness of Herr i Scheidemann's Government to get the National Assembly to endorse the demands of the moderate workers. It is expected that the Government will resign in a few days. The Spartacista are gaining ground owing to dissatisfaction with the Government. Spartacist agitators are journeying in armoured cars and special trains throughout the country, instigating strikes. General Mooreker, commandant of the troops guarding the National Assembly, worked out a plan to crush ttie strikes in the middle of Germany. A mob of Spartacists at Seerfurt attacked General Mooreker, thrashed him, tore off his badges, and secured the portfolio containing the draft of the plans against the strikers.
The Berlin newspapers are not publishing owing to the strikes. Other strikes are reported at Salle, Leipzig, and Spandau, while strike riots have occurred in Dresden, Konigsberg, and Thorn.
