FORTHCOMING ELECTIONS.

CIVIC LEAGUE CANDIDATES.

A meeting of th Civic League was held in the rooms of the organisation last evening, the president, Mrs. A. Kidd, presiding. In connection with the forthcoming municipal elections it was , decided to nominate, for seats on the City Conned, Meßdamcs C. E. Maguire and J. McK. Geddes mi Miss E. Melville. The members also decided to nominate Mrs. Kid 4 for a seat on the Hospital Board, and to support the candidature ot Dr. Florence Keller. It was resolved further to endeavour to nominate women candidates for each of , the city.'-and suburban school committees. . Mrs. N. E. Ferner was appointed the league's delegate to., the. town-planning conference to be held in Wellington in May.
