POVERTY-STRICKEN KAISER.
APPEAL TO GERMANY.
A. and N.Z. COPENHAGEN, Mar. 2. The ex-Kaiser recently approached the German Government regarding his private fortune, stating that he was without ready money, and had already borrowed £1500 from his j Dutch host.
The German Government admitted his claim to private property amounting to £7,500,000, and allowed him £60,000 to meet current expenses. jfcnter. LONDON. Mar. 2. The Paris correspondent of the Pall Mall Gazette says that the subcommittee unanimously decided that the ex-Kaiser -and Crown Prince were morally responsible for the war. The conference itself will decide the form of trial and punishment.
