SERIOUS OFFENCE ALLEGED.
A charge of carnally knowing a 13-year-old girl at Ngatira on or about December 19, was preferred against an ablehe died man, Ernest W. Derbridge, before Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M., at the Police Court yesterday. On the application of Chief-Detective McMahon, the accused w.i 3 remanded for one week, Rail was allowed in self of £20(£ or two sureties of £100 eacly Charged with being an alien, and failing to register within (the prescribed time, a youn? Russian woman, Alice Suslikova, pleaded guilty. Sub-Inspector Wohlman said the accused arrived in the Dominion about four years ago with a man, who led her to believe thalt he had attended to her registration. A conviction only was recorded.
