AUSTRIA PROFESSES ACCORD WITH WILSONS TERMS.
IMMOVABLE INTENTION TO SECURE PEACE DECLARED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. WASHINGTON, Oct. 80. The Note from Count Andrassv, Austrian Foreign Minister, assures the United States that Austria's immovable purpose is to secure peace on the President's terms. Count Andrassy is appealing to Mr. Robert Lansing to use his influence with Mr. Wilson to secure that an early armistice be concluded in the interests of humanity. He points out that Austria is completely in accord with Mr. Wilson on all points, especially the prevention of future wars and the formation of a Leaguo of Nations. Steps have already bean taken in order that Austrian® and Hungarians may be able to decide their own future organisation and rulership. The Emperor Charles has desired ever since hiu accession to end this war, and was more than ever desirous now an sovereign of the Austro-Hungarian peoples to free their future destiny from the disturbance, privations, and sorrows of war.
