OUTBREAK OF EXTREME VIOLENCE IN BUDA PESTH.
GENERAL LABOUR REVOLT MOMENTARILY EXPECTED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, Oct. 80. The Buda Pesth correspondent of the Vossische Zeitung says that the Magyar National Council decided to send a deputation to ask the Archduke Joseph to secure Count Karolyi the Premiership. A great crowd followed -he deputation and attempted to break the military guard. fighting commenced, the soldiers using machine-guns and bayonets. A great number were killed. Fighting was still raging at nine o'clock on Monday evening. A general Labour revolt is expected any moment. The rising in Croatia continues to increase, and there has been much fighting between the Croats and the Hungarians. The Croats occupy all the railway stations. The Zurich correspondent of the Daily News states that ferment continues at Buda Pesth. Great demonstrations are organised hourly and violent combats occur between the population, the soldiers, and rival bodies of students. The Emperor hurriedly left for Vienna. The climax of the drama may be expected on Wednesday. The Emperor and the Grand Dukes are desperately resisting the formation of a Coalition Ministry, including the leaders of tile Magyar National Council. Meanwhile there are sanguinary conflicts in the streets of Buda. Pesth, where the situation is bordering on revolution. Machine-guns are freely used, 'and a dictatorship is openly advocated. Extremist Socialists are gaining much support, though Count Karolyi, the Independent leader, is making a great effort to control the National movement with the Radicals.
