SHIPMENT TO CANADA ALLOWED.

¥ WELLINGTON, Wednesday,' It .is now possible for exporters to ship butter to Canada in limited quantities and of. present season's make. Permits must
be obtained from the Comptroller of Cue. toms. Those. in the trade feel that not much advantage will be taken of this market for the present in view of the fact that the price for the Imperial Government's purchase of New Zealand butter has not yet been disclosed. IMPERIAL PURCHASES. [BT TELEGEIPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday, Negotiations for the purchase by the Imperial authorities of New Zealand's export supplus of butter and cheese will be opened shortly. The High Commissioner has not yet been able to 6upply full information as to the wishes and intentions of the Imperial authorities, but the Butter and /Cheese _ Committee may be called .together within the next few days.
