DECISIONS OF THE COUNCILThe Mount Eden Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. C, Hudson, presid- ~ ing. A letter was received from Mr. S. Gray applying, on behalf of a number of residents, to have trees planted in Essex Road, ana I undertaking to meet the cost of such work. 1 Tho work was authorised, members of the council expressing appreciation at tho increasing interest being taken by residents i in the metier of tree-planting in streets, f It wan decided to donate f:) 3s to th« Workers' Educational Association ill re- | sponso to a request for assistance. I A recommendation from the Streets Cora- : mii'ee that the council cooperate with the City Council in the tallying of traffic on I certain borough streets was adopted. / —
