CLOSING ENEMY BANKS.
ACTIVITY IN BRITAIN. A, and N.Z. LONDON. July 21. The Receiver in Bankruptcy has taken over all branches of enemy banks, which will be immediately wound up and the assets distributed. Legislation exists making it impossible to open branch banks ill Britain for a fixed period of years after the war.
