ALMOST A CENTENARIAN.
Mr. John Mackay, who died recently at Invercargill, had reached his onehundredth year. He was born on April 18, 1819, in Fifeshire, Scotland. An engineer bv trade, he came to Dunedin in 1874. When 94 years of age, he erected a binder-twine plant at Winton.
