GREYMOUTH, Thursday. AN election petition has been filed against the return of Mr. H. Holland at the recent by-election for Grey. Various grounds for the petition are alleged, the principal being that a large number of persons voted who did not reside in tho Grey district six months previous to the election. If this allegation is proved, it is within the power of the Electoral Court to declare the' petitioner, Mr. T. E. Coates, who was the unsuccessful candidate, elected member for Grey.
