MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister for Marine, will arrive in Auckland by the Main Trunk express this morning to preside over the first sitting of the commission which has been appointed to inquire into matters relating to accidents on the waterfront. The Minister expects to be fully engaged during his visit to Auckland with the work of the commission, and will not therefore be able to receive deputations.
The Minister for Lands left Whang%rei yesterday morning by train for Kawakawa, where he was met by Mr. Vernon H. Reed, the member for the Bay of Islands. He received deputations at the county chambers, and in the afternoon visited the Kawakawa Hospital to see the experimental plot. Later he motored out to the Pakaraka close settlement area. The Minister will leave Kawakawa for Whangarei this morning, receiving deputations at Hikurangi and other points en route. This afternoon he will proceed to Waipu and Maungaturoto.
