MONEY FOR SHIPBUILDING
PROPOSALS IN AMERICA. £444,000,000 THIS YEAR. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, May 9. Mr. E. N. Hurley, chairman of the American Shipping Board, says that America's shipbuilding bill for the year 1918-19 will be £444,600,000. The estimates include general construction £277^200,0CX), and plants £125,000,000. The figures show an increase of £160,000,000 over the original estimates.
