LENGTH OF SESSION.
END EXPECTED TO-DAY. [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. Owing to the length at which several clauses of the Financial Bill were debated the session did not close yesterday as expected. Parliament will resume to-mor-row morning. The Ministers expect the session to close to-morrow, but strong opposition to the national service clause of the Finance Bill may make, that impossible, The Government will carry on a3 long as is necessary to secure the clause, which is felt to be more than evor necessary in view of developments on the west front. There has been a suggestion in the lobby that in view of the gravity of the war news Parliament might require to be kept in session for a few days. Mr. Massey said this evening that no "extension of this kind was contemplated. Nothing was likely to occur that Ministers could not deal with. He thought the session would certainly end tomorrow unless there was obstruction.
