BREAKING AND ENTERING.

TWO CASES IN THE CITY. Two cases of breaking and entering occurred in the city during the period from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning. On Sunday, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Ponsonby Road premises of Messrs, Hutchinson Brothers, Ltd., were entered by breaking a window at the back of the store. A drawer in the office was opened, but nothing was taken from either the office or the shop. On Sunday night an island show-case in front of Messrs. Milne and Chovce's premises, Queen Street, was broken into, the lock of the door of tho case being wrenched off, and six shirts abstracted. Nothing to arouse bis suspicions was heard during the nigl.t by the watchman on the premises, and tho burglary was not discovered until the morning.
