COASTAL STEAMER HULA.
BOILER TROUBLE AT SEA. REACHES TIMARU SAFELY. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] TIMARU. Monday. The coasting steamer, Huia, bound from Wellington to Dunedin, had.boiler trouble 50 miles off Timaru. A boat landed the mate at Pareora on Sunday night, and word was brought to Timaru. The Kittawa went out to the Huia's assistance. Temporary repairs effected enabled the Huia to reach Timaru early this morning. The Ivittawa missed the Huia, after searching all day, and she returned here to-night.
