THE SOLDIERS' CLUB.
PUBLIC MEETING TO-MORROW. A public meeting in connection with the proposed permanent Soldiers] Club in Auckland wil be held in the Town Hall to-morrow evening, when the question of raising funds in aid of the movement will bo discussed. The association proposes to perpetuate the memory of fallen heroes by providing a commodious hall and offices where returned soldiers may meet for business purposes and social intercourse. A special invitation is extended to the parents, wives mothers and sisters _ of absent soldiers to attend the meeting. Seats will be reserved for the next of kin, of fallen soldiers and tickets for these may be obtained on application to the Soldiers' Club. The Mayor will preside and the speakers will include Bishop Averill, Messrs. C. J. Parr, C. H. Poole, M.P.'s, P. J. Nerheny, C. Waddingham and W. R. Way. Sapper Moore-Jones will exhibit his lantern slides of Gallipoli, which were reproduced from sketches taken under fire at Anzac.
