ENTERTAINMENTS.

"LOOK WHO'S HERE," Tub third programme of Jack Waller's "Look Who's Here" Company was presented for the first timo at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, entirely delighting the largo audience. It was a medley of mirth and melody cleverly blended with novel and charming devices of stage-craft, and so it was that almost before the audience could realise that one item was ended another had begun. Th-3 artists seem to delight in their revelling and always carry the audience with thein, and tie company ranks as ono of tho best w tiio kind seen in Auckland for a long time. Apart from the serious work oi tJio two principal musicians in the realm i/i classic composition, the entertainment flawed merrily along with a rare lilt and zest. Gregory Ivanoff, a violinist of outstanding merit, displays technique which overcomes the greatest difficulties, and gives a tone and interpretation to his work that carry his audience away. His numbers included a Roumanian rlmpsodio by Hauser, and the haunting caprice "Yiennais," by Kreisler. Frederick W. Dennett, tho pianist, rendered a concerto by Mendelssohn with marked skill. Wylio Watson is a natural comedian, whose bubbling mirth never flags. He is at his best when ho is most droll, and ho shines in burlesque. As a porter in a ridiculous scene on a Welsh railway station, as a waiter in the Musical Restaurant, as a burlesque policeman, and as an East London patron of a music hall he provides laughs innumerable. Jack Waller does not appear often, but in his role as leader of a highlyliveried Continental orchestra he proves himself a comedian and a musician. Howard Hall, tho principal vocalist, has a rich baritone voice, which was heard to advantage in the song " Cigarette." Many 'clever dances are given by the White Trio, and tho ladies of the company in all their work are charming and graceful.

, , OPERA HOUSE. Mr, Philip',, Newbury and Miss Amy Murphy are appearing nightly at the Opera House this week. Their solos include " Tako a Pair of Sparkling Eyes," and they sing also the duet, "Homo to Our Mountains." Tho Lewins give a novelty turn, and Arthur Croxon is an excellent entertainer. The other items are favourably received. " IT IS FOR ENGLAND."

The Navy League's patriotic film drama, "It is for England," will bo screened at His Majesty's Theatre for the first time on Saturday next. The picture.is being exhibited under tho auspices of the English and Colonial Navy Leagues. The story I is designed to arouse a feeling of distrust against tho Germans in our midst. The villain of tho drama is a, naturalised GeN man in Britain, the hero a British naval officer who, with, tho aid of tho girl ho loves, thwarts the plans of the villain and his brother spies. The action of the picture is fast and highly sensational, arousing audiences wherever shown to high pitches of patriotic enthusiasm. The producer, having received every facility and assistance from both naval and military authorities, has been enabled to produce some highly spectacular naval and military scenes. The proceeds are in aid of Navy League funds. The box plan is at Wildman and Arey's. TIVOLI THEATRE. A mystery drams, "The Ghost House," is at the head of this week's programme at tho Tivoli Theatre. The plot iB original, and tho various parts aro well characterised by excellent artists. Miss Louise Huff and Mr. Jack Pickford are in the principal roles. Tho story opens at midnight, in a haunted house. An intoxicated burglar is hiding in the attic, and ,two Bisters and a baby are in the next room—each party unknown to tho other. Another " man—on mischief bent—enters tho house. Exciting incidents take place. Local colour is added to the programme by well-taken views of the Epsom tram workshops. An American Gazette, dealing with current happenings of the world, is also screened, and a comedy completes an attractive programme. OTHER ENTERTAINMENTS. " The Sawdust Ring" is the attraction at the Strand Theatre. Tho leading picture at the Lyric Theatre is "Husband and Wife," "Tho Mother of Dartmoor" is Bhown at the Queen's Theatre. A strong company interprets "Husband and Wife" at Everybody's Theatre. Mabel Taliaferro acts in "The Jury of Fate," at the Princess Theatre. "Paradise Garden" and "The Count" are tho plays at tho Grand Theatre " The Wager" may bo seen at tho Globe Theatre.
