UNITARIAN ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The annual conference of the Unitarian Association of New Zealand was held yesterday afternoon in the Unitarian Church, Ponsonby Road, Delegates were present from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Mr. J. M. Geddis, of Wellington, presided. 0 Resolutions were passed welcoming into fellowship and affiliation the movement being carried on in Christchurch by the Rev J. H. G. Chappie, and recommending the Britisn and Foreign Unitarian. Association of Great Britain to make a grant in aid of the movement. ' Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. Geo. Stevenson, of Auckland; treasurer, Mr. James Gouber, of Wellington; secretary, Rev. §' tttm-i. Wellington; executive, Rev. W. E. Williams and Mr. T. Mackv J"-> °f,. A " ckl and; Mr. J. M. Geddis! of Wellington; Rev. J. H. G. Chappie and Mr. Geo. Wells, of Christchurch, and Mr. W. Patterson, of Timaru. It was decided to issue a quarterly magazine under the auspices of toe association. In the evening a service was held, followed by a meeting in the church. Mr T. Macky presided. Addresses were given by the Revs. J. H. G. Chappie, of Christchurch, and G. E. Hale, and Messrs G Stevenson and S. J. Elliott. ' * a a he conference will be continued today. /
