PRODUCTION OF IRON.
[by telegraph.—PßESS ASSOCIATION-.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The Taranaki Iron Company's large furnace was lighted up at ten o'clock last nieht, since when there have been three tappings, producing at the rate of 15 tons per 24 hours. The iron is grey, and runs very freely.
