SOUTH SEA MISSIONS.
Investing accounts of the work of Methodist missionaries in the /South Sea Islands were given at a meeting hold in Pitt ■. Street Methodist Schoolroom last evening. Mr. J. G. Wheen r general secretary of Methodist missions in the Islands, spoke of the work done in Fiji, Papua, and Now Britain. He ' stated that when visiting German New Guinea, ho found the natives everywhere delighted with British rule. The Hon. J. Garrard, of Sydnev, gavo a graphic account of the results of mission work in Fiji. Mr. G. J. Watorhonse spoke upon the samo subject, .devoting special attention to the work among the Indian coolies.
