STRIKE OF TUNNELLERS.
DEPARTMENTAL INQUIRY. [BY TELEGBATII.—OWN COBBESFONTjENT.] PAPAEOA, Thursday. The Departmental inquiry in connection with the strike of the hands at Hames's tunnel on the North Auckland Trunk line is proceeding. A thorough investigation is being made. The report will be forwarded to Wellington. No decision is expected for a week. Seventy men are idle.
