PATRIOTIC FETE.
A patriotic fete, under the auspices of the Auckland Women's Patriotic League, will be opened at the Town Hall on Friday afternoon next, and continued on Saturday and Monday. The fete, which will take the form of " Paddy's Market," will bo carried out on a large scale, and will include numerous highly attractive and original features. Four military bands and three orchestras will be in attendance, and a varied programme will include children's dancing, flag songs, the famous "originals in costume," and many other originalities. Side shows, fortuno tellers, and stalls of every description will be a feature, while afternoon tea and suppeD will be provided. The official opening will be performed by the Mayoress on Friday at 3 p.m., and the market will be open each afternoon and evening from three till ten o'clock.
