ADDITION TO COMBATANTS

CHINA ENTERING THE WAR.

A DOUBLE DECLARATIONA. and N.Z. PEKIN. August 14. China has finally decided to declare war simultaneously on Germany and Austria. SWISS NEUTRALITY. AMERICAN CRITICISM. WASHINGTON. August 14. The Department of State announces that the Berne police raided the office of the newspaper Freie Zeitung because it endorsed Mr. Wilson's war attitude. If the Swiss Government defends the police, diplomatic complications are expected. It is known that a number of Swiss newspapers openly support Germany more strongly than the Freie Zeitung defends the allies and America. If the Swiss Government gives a free hand to proGerman comments and suppresses proAmerican, Switzerland's neutrality will be questioned.
