[BY (TELEGRAPHSPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The anti-shouting regulations are referred to by the Hon. A. L. Herdman, in answer to a question by Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki). The Minister states that it has not been ascertained that the antishouting regulations are not capable of effective enforcement, and there is no reason for believing they are not being enforced.

A number of prosecutions for breaches of the regulations have taken place, and in many instances substantial fines have been inflicted, which are reported to have resulted in. a better observance of the law. The police have special instructions to take .-tens to enforce the regulations.
