ST. HELIERS WHARF . SHELTER. V A special and an ordinary meeting of tha -Vv Harbour 1 Board were held yesterdjy•• afternoon. Present: Mr. H. D. Heather, chairman, Messrs. E. W. Alison, W. E. Hutchison, W. B. Leyland, E. J. Cany T. Arthur, and M. H. Wynyard. J At the special meeting amendments of by-laws were finally, adopted in regard to crane dues, dues for the receiving of goods into sheds, and regulations ' as to the) | unpacking of motor-cars on the wharves. The amended by-laws will come into operation on June 26. 1# Alternative schemes were submitted bfl * the engineer for the doubling of the shel-ter-shed accommodation on the St. HelierJ Bay Wharf, at estimated costs of £35 and £150 ' respectively. The 1 board adopted £ the cheaper scheme. It was agreed to take over the Water* side Workers Union ambulance, subjectl to the approval of the Hospital and Charitable -Aid Board, and the secretary was instructed to write to employers of | labour on the waterside, asking' • fo? annual contributions , amounting in all to £100. - , 1 ,:. The handing ; over of the work of com* pleting the Quay Street extension to tM||§ City Council was approved.
