GIRLS' FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
NEW CLUB BOOMS TO BE OPENED. The Girls'.Friendly Society, well known. l .? Auckland for . its good work among the girls and young women of the city, is about to increase the sphere of its activities by the opening of two now club rooms in the Princess Building', Queen Street. The opening date has been fixed for Ann! '16. For a long time past business giro in the city have taken advantage of the luncheon-room at the Wellesley Street Lodge, the average daily attendance beffij*. about forty, but, as more accommodatl® was required, the new rooms have bees secured. Luncheon will be served from twelve o'clock until two, and the rooms will be run on the same lines as heretofore; that is, by the payment of a small sum, girls who are members of the society *{"■ be able to obtain whatever they require HI tho way of hot drinks, sandwiches, cakes, etc. Tho luncheon-room attendants are all voluntary workers, ladies interested in U"» work of the society, and associate members. A sub-committee to act under WW executive of the Girls' Friendly SociejJ has been appointed to supervise «» arrangements of the new rooms, Mesdanjes Eavestaff and J. B. GilfiUan acting as hen. secretary and treasurer respectively. -»- " afternoon," to which all ladies interested in the -Girls' Friendly Society are invitee will be held to-day at Bishopscourt in connection with the opening of toe emurooms.
