STRIKE AT BARROW.
WORK NOT YET RESUMED. MINISTER CENSURES MEN. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Received 11 p.m.) LONDON, March 26. According to a statement made by Mr. Bonar Law in the House of Commons, the strike at Barrow is not over. Tho Government's offer still remains open. Mr. Bonar Law added that the Government viewed tho interruption of the production of munitions as of the utmost gravity. Stoppage of work when other methods of settlement were open could not be too strongly deprecated.
It was announced a few days ago that after a conference with the, Government authorities representatives of , the shipbuilding employees at Barrow agreed to the immediate resumption 'of work, a promise having been given by the Minister for Labour, Mr. John Hodge, to secure a settlement of the dispute within a week, the award to be retrospective. The trouble arcre over the alleged " cutting" of the premium bonus and time allowance.
