<» The meeting of club subscribers and the Auckland Football Association was held dm' ing the week in the Amateur Sports Club i The signs of the times were very plainlj marked in the exocutive, four of their num ber having joined the Expeditionary Fore during the present off season. Mr. March wa appointed to a vacancy on tho A.F.A. ti permit of the necessary quorum being: pre sent. The fact of the ballot now being lav has done away with the necessity of impos ing an age limit on the higher divisions and as it is felt that there are many play era who have not yet been called up, nav> been passed for home service, or are re turned soldiors, an endeavour should b mado to cater for, higher grade football. Th executive has decided to announce that com ' petitions will be held in the senior, second third, fourth, fifth, and sixth divisions i sufficient inducement be offered.
