-Mayor paid a warm tribute "to the High School boys, and all.residents who had voluntarily assisted to clear out the channels, and free the streets from debris, and a- vote of thanks was unanimously passed to all these volunteers. : It is estimated that about a-quarter of a million cubic yards of silt has been deposited on the streets of the town, and it Will bo weeks before Thames can be restored to its usual clean condition
