ON THE TIGRIS FRONT.
LONDON, Jan. 2. Mr. Edmund Candler, the British press representative on the Tigris front, says that the Flying Corps is doing splendid work, raiding the Turkish supply centres, and downing "Albatrosses" (the enemy machines). One airman has received the D.S.O. ' During a night flight ho discovered a Turkish gunboat, towing a pontoon. He flew backwards and forwards, casting bombs with such good effect that trie gunboat and pontoon were completely shattered.
