YESTERDAY'S QUOTATIONS. 'lffE sharemarkct was quiet again yesterday. L nion Bank of Australia had sellers at £55. There were buyers of New Zealand Insurances at £6 12s 6d, with sellers at £6 18s. South British were sought at £4 19?, with sellers at £5 3s. Auckland (las (con.) sold at 21s 1 9d, and a previous sale was reported at 21s bd. Union Steams (old.) were firmer, business being dune at 45s 9d, with late sellers asking 465, and buyers at 45s 6d. Preference issue were wanted at 21s 3d. ; Hiern were no transactions in mining lines. Wailiis at SSs Dd had inquiry at 34s 9d.
