GIFT AEROPLANES.
TEN FROM NEW SOUTH WALES.
The Premier of New South Wales has instructed the Acting-Agent-General by cable to pay to the Union Bank of Australia, Limited, for the Bank of England, the sum of £2700, representing the duplicate of a battleplane presented by the residents of the Tweed district.
This represents five machines presented by the Government of New South Wales and five by private persons. Sir Timothy Coghlan has been asked to inquire whether the War ( like will ac cept pilots trained at the New South Wales Aviation School for the Government machines, and also for those privately subscribed for. Six pilots w'll be ready in about five weeks, and the Government has intimated its willingness to defray the cost of their passage to England.
