KNOCKED DOWN BY TRAM.

1 A discharged soldier named Joseph Sydney Green, residing in Wakefield Street, was knocked down by a tramcar shortly before eight o'clock last night. Ho had been visiting the Soldiers' Club in Wellesley Street, and was on his way to tho Opera House. The accident occurred at the corner of Wellesley Street and Queen Streot as he was crossing the road. Green who is a single man, 32 years of age, was admitted to the hospital later in the evening, where he is receiving the necessary attention. The extent of his injuries was not ascertainable at an early hour this morning.
